Barista This Starbucks looks like it’s having a bad day. Sadly, he was yelled at by customers simply for not being able to provide a discount coupon.
Recently a viral video surfaced showing a Starbucks barista telling a story about a bad incident he went through. According to dailydot.com (06/07), in the video, he poured out all his heart after he received bad treatment from customers.
Through his TikTok account @captainxhen, the barista named Hen explained that he was in the break room. With a sad look on his face, Hen captioned, “Did another Starbucks get hit hard today just because of the 50% off coupon?”

Not mentioned barista Hen works at which Starbucks outlet, but it turns out that the reason Hen uploaded a video like that was because he was just yelled at by a customer simply because the customer couldn’t get the 50% discount he wanted.
Starbucks coffee shops are known to often have discount promotions on certain days. This customer-wanted discount offer offers Starbucks Rewards a 50% discount on cold drinks called “Summer TuesYays”.
But the discount coupon cannot be used at all Starbucks outlets. Just like this discount coupon wanted by this customer
According to Starbucks’ official website, the 50% discount coupon can only be used at certain Starbucks outlets, excluding fast food, packaged drinks, and alcohol. The discount also cannot be combined with other discounts and does not apply to delivery services.
The customer may feel he has been wronged by not being able to use his Starbucks Rewards discount. Until finally it was Hen who was affected by the customer’s emotions.

Several netizens who claimed to be Starbucks employees also shared similar experiences. A netizen seemed to answer Hen’s question by saying, “The right time for a day off is Tuesday.”
While other netizens not only commented on the rude customer behavior, but also criticized Starbucks.
“Seriously? What is the company thinking of making a promo on Tuesday when some places don’t have enough waiters,” said one netizen.
