Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Premier League championship in indoor football has been suspended in Latvia

Due to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia on December 1 to extend the emergency situation in the country until January 11 and to introduce new precautionary measures to stabilize the situation LFF The board remotely considered the issue of the termination of the indoor football league league championship, reports the Latvian Football Federation (LFF).

The LFF Board, taking into account the existing restrictions in the territory of the Republic of Latvia in connection with the spread of Covid-19, remotely considered the issue of the possibility of holding the indoor football championship after December 3.

The new safety regulations stipulate that currently sports federations are only allowed to organize top league competitions involving adult athletes whose main job is to participate in competitions and who do not perform other work duties. These restrictions also apply to team training.

Therefore, after a remote discussion, the LFF Board decides to suspend the 2020/2021 Indoor Football Super League Championship indefinitely until the above restrictions are lifted.
