Due to coronavirus, online training of personnel grows

The COVID-19 pandemic challenged companies to continue training their employees.

Rodrigo Díaz, commercial director of the firm Cornerstone for Latin America, explained that Although online training was already growing, it accelerated with the issue of the pandemic.

“For some time now everything has begun to move to YouTube and it is an issue that has been growing, but with the issue of the pandemic it accelerated and more so for organizations because many organizations were not even prepared with adequate platforms to provide training and digital education, ”he said.

According to the manager Online training grew in the United States by more than 100 percent, in European countries more than 200 percent, and in Mexico more than 2,000 percent.

“That speaks of how relevant training and digital education is to the pandemic, but also in Mexico we were behind on that issue, but the new reality caused everyone to turn to see this issue and that all the companies that are in that turn grew suddenly ”He added.

The main training courses that are sought are those that have to do with skills development: business, accounting and finance, then comes another second group of technology, networks and social media, and another important group that is growing is that of data management, data management, data science, mathematics and statistics.

Rodrigo Díaz added that this market niche is growing in Mexico and in the world as all companies are waiting to have access to skills training.

“I think we can calculate that in Mexico 30 to 40 percent of companies began to make this change,” he concluded.
