Geraldine Chaplin will not attend the premiere of the film “Luke” in Plovdiv tomorrow due to a health problem. She has already left Bulgaria, the Sofia Film Fest announced. Director Jessica Woodworth will come to the screening under the hills. Geraldine herself will greet the people of Plovdiv with a special video address.

The screening starts at 18:30, and the three will stay for a conversation with the audience after the end. “Anna” tells the story of a brave but lonely investigative journalist who decides to get pregnant from a donor. Unexpectedly, her work takes her to an unfamiliar environment. After a serious life turn, Anna makes the most difficult decision.
Tonight’s late-night film is the winner of the big prize at Cannes “Near” to directed by Lucas Dont. Thirteen-year-old Leo and Remy are best friends. They are inseparable during the summer, but the start of the school year brings new social problems that test their intimate and seemingly unbreakable bond. The screening starts at 20:45. The film is part of the LUX program and admission is free.
