The name of Laura Vicol Ciorbă, the new head of the Legal Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, appears in the indictment in which several thieves were sent to trial, led by Marian Bejan and Robert Badea, the policeman who protected the “Bodyguards group”, writes journalist Virgil Burlă for Radio Free Europe.
In April 2020, while a lawyer, Laura Vicol was heard as a witness after being intercepted by DIICOT while talking to Bejan, an individual accused of pimping, blackmail, attempted murder and money laundering.
Discussions show that the two know each other, given that Vicol was the lawyer of one of Bejan’s rivals. In December 2020, Vicol was elected PSD deputy and on Thursday she was voted the head of the Legal Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, a commission that approves and votes in Parliament all laws or ordinances related to the judiciary.
In January 2020, two hostile groups stormed the streets, with two victims taken to hospital with serious injuries after being cut with swords and knives. It was about Marius Emil Alecu, called “Bebino”, considered the leader of the Sports Clan and Cezar Roberto Petcu, Bejan’s man.
In October 2020, Vicol told prosecutors that, after the fight, she was contacted by Marius Alecu’s mother, who asked her to represent her son in court. Shortly afterwards, Vicol told the woman that he had met Marian Bejan, who would have told him that he was friends with the two thieves and that he would like them to reconcile.
„The lawyer is in a relationship of subordination even compared to the one suspected by his client, Alecu Marius Emil, as being behind the attack (…) From the interceptions of the telephone conversations it resulted that the defendant Bejan Cristian Marian contacted the named Vicol Laura and has authority over her“, Show the prosecutors in the indictment.
In April 2020, Marian Bejan contacted Vicol and they had the following discussion:

Called to DIICOT to explain the nature of the relationship he had with the one suspected of plotting to assassinate his client, Vicol Ciorbă showed that “my perception of the defendant Bejan Cristian Marian was that he is a very intrusive person who tried to get information from the file from me. “
In his testimony, Vicol also showed that the thief “pulled her tongue with what was happening in the case of attempted murder.”
