Jeff Bridges is battling cancer. He was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes and lymphatic tissue. It most often affects the area of the spleen, liver, intestines or large blood vessels.
The actor, who will celebrate his 71st birthday at the beginning of December, admitted the serious illness on Twitter. “As Dude would say, new facts have surfaced. I’ve been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it’s a serious disease, I’m lucky to have a great team of doctors. My prospects are good,” Bridges wrote.
Im profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends.
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together. https://t.co/6sAU4MYixl
Love, Jeff

“I’m starting treatment and I’ll let you know how it’s going,” the popular actor promised the fans. He thanked them for their speedy recovery, family and friends for their support.
