A festive and culinary evening under the name of Duck fat was organized on Thursday August 10 from 5 p.m. in the parking lot of a place called Le Bourg. The event was made possible thanks to the support of Ghislaine Meynier, president of the Festival Committee of Saint-Paul-La-Roche. The latter was assisted by about twenty volunteers, all very motivated to propel the town to the rank of a must in Périgord Vert.
The festivities began with the installation of a dozen local producers and quality culinary service providers, including a local duck producer, Canard’d’Or du Périgord. The latter ensured, with more than 400 guests, the tasting of local delicacies such as foie gras or duck breast. Among the stands at the festival, passers-by were able to take advantage of a baker and his rye bread baked in a wood-fired oven, homemade pizzas, tasting plates with confit duck legs.

Didier Garnaudie, the mayor of the town, and his deputy Jeanne Mossé, welcomed the presence of the many elected officials who had come for the occasion. Around 9:30 p.m., while enjoying the homemade ice cream, the musical group The Infusions and waltz and rock specialists led fans to waltz on the asphalt. The singer Alex Jazz and glitter also came for the event. The good atmosphere continued until late at night, with the refreshment bar of the women’s football team. The next festive evening in Saint-Paul-La-Roche will take place on Thursday August 24, with a farmers’ market.
