Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, Diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma After Moles Removed: Royal Family Health Concerns

The malignant melanoma was diagnosed after Sarah Ferguson had some moles removed. One of the removed stains was found to contain cancer cells.

Last year, the Duchess of York reported that she had been treated for breast cancer and had a mastectomy. “The Duchess is receiving the best medical care and her doctors have told her the prognosis is good. She is now recovering at home,” her spokesperson said at the time.

Since her divorce from Prince Andrew, “Fergie” is no longer part of the active members of the British royal family. Despite this, the relationship with her former husband remains relatively good: the two even share the same estate on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Things are not going well for the British royal family at the moment. Last week it was announced that King Charles will have to undergo prostate surgery next week and that Princess Kate, the wife of Prince William, has undergone abdominal surgery and will also be out of action for a while.
