Duchess Meghan lends her voice for Disney documentary

The former actress Duchess Meghan (38) (“Suits”) returns to the film after her retirement as a full-time royal, at least with her voice. As the US entertainment giant Disney announced today, Meghan can be heard from April 3 as a narrator in the documentary “Elephant” on the new streaming service Disney +. The film is about the story of an elephant family on their journey through the Kalahari desert.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, 35, announced in January that they would become financially independent. From April onwards, the two will no longer be part of the British royal family and will no longer have official appointments for Queen Elizabeth II. They also want to do without the title “Royal Highness” and their brand “Sussex Royal” in the future.

Meghan does not make any money with the role, however, as the British newspaper “The Times” reported. Her fee therefore goes to an organization that works to protect elephants from poaching. Nevertheless, British media interpreted the step as the first stage in a return to the film or television industry.
