Just under a week ago, the news came that Duchess Meghan (42) has completely finished with the podcast “Archetypes”. She only managed to complete one season, before the deal ended in June.

The contract with Spotify is said to have had a value of over NOK 200 million.
The 42-year-old managed to release 12 episodes in over two and a half years before Spotify chose to terminate the contract. Meghan has since applied to register the Archetypes trademark, apparently unsuccessfully – and now she has withdrawn the application.

When asked by BBC If the project was worth several hundred million, Spotify founder Daniel Ek answers the following:
– We thought there was a need for new innovations and we thought we could step in and offer a fantastic experience that would satisfy the listeners.
– I hope I get to see my grandchildren before I die
Ek describes the situation as instructive.
– The truth is that some of it worked, while other things did not. We learn from it and move on. Now we wish everyone the best of luck.

The Duke and Duchess have previously been in rough weather as a result of the wreck.
Earlier, Deadline reported that the cancellation was due to Meghan and Harry not being able to meet Spotify’s productivity requirements.
Rejected by dad
Bill Simmons, who himself has a podcast at Spotify, has previously referred to the Duke and Duchess as “damn swindlers”, according to Deadline.
Simmons is also head of podcast innovation and monetization at the streaming service.

– The damn scammers. That’s the name of the podcast we really should have launched with them. I have to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom call I had with Harry trying to help him with a podcast idea. It is one of my best stories, he stated, without telling the story.
