A spokesman for the royal family states that the duchess is in self-isolation, and that they follow the authorities’ guidelines.
She has been vaccinated three times.
The news comes a few days after it was announced that her husband, Prince Charles (73), has received corona for the second time. The first time was in March 2020.
This is the first time the Duchess has been infected.
Prince Charles has had to cancel a number of official plans due to the infection.
Several royals have recently received corona, among them the Swedish royal couple and the Danes Queen Margrethe (81).
Queen Elizabeth (95) stated when the British recently celebrated her 70th year on the throne that her “fervent wish” is that Camilla becomes queen when Prince Charles once takes over as regent.
