Ducati has started the series production of the Ducati SuperSport 950. Presented at the Ducati World Première 2021, the new bike is a sports bike suitable for everyday use. An ‘entry level’, we could say, of the sports segment of the Italian manufacturer.
The new two-wheeler will be produced in the Borgo Panigale plant and will arrive in all Italian dealerships starting from February 2021. Among its highlights, in addition to the design, are the electronic equipment, equipment and compliance with anti -Euro 5 pollution. As for the design, the new SuperSport 950 refers to Ducati Panigale V4 (the best-selling bike in 2019) for the full-LED headlamp, equipped with DRL with a sharp light signature. The fairings, on the other hand, have been redesigned to accentuate the sportiness of the bike and the fluidity of the shapes.
Going into the more technical aspects, the Ducati SuperSport 950 (of which we had already seen the preview in the dedicated web series) has a single-sided swingarm, a trellis frame attached to the engine and a dry weight of 184 kg. The electronic package consists of ABS cornering, traction control, wheelie control, electronic shifting and the functionality of the Riding Mode (Sport, Touring e Urban).
As mentioned, the new SuperSport 950 is suitable for everyday use, it is a two-wheeler comfortable. The saddle has in fact a new padding and a flatter shape. In addition to comfort, these measures allow for greater control of the vehicle by the pilot. The height of the half-handlebars and the position of the footrests allow you to not strain your wrists and knees too much.
