Since the last few months, the news of the move Marc Marquez the Ducati back to the surface. The racer from Spain is predicted to be prepared to accompany Francesco Bagnaia in the 2024 season. So, how did the Ducati boss respond?
Gigi Dall’Igna as General Manager of Ducati Corse said that his party did not rule out the possibility of recruiting Marc Marquez, whose contract still has two more seasons remaining at Honda. Because, according to him, The Baby Alien is one of the best in MotoGP.
“We can’t predict the way of life. This also applies to Honda, if they are interested in recruiting Bagnaia who is our best figure, what can we do?” said Gigi when asked about the possibility of recruiting Marquez from Honda, quoted from Crash, Saturday (21/1/2023).

Gigi indirectly assumed that almost all teams wanted Marquez’s services. According to him, Marquez is a monster on the track that many of his enemies fear.
“Marc Marquez is always scary on the track. How can I say that Marquez is not scary?” he said.
“Marquez has proven to be a person who has determination, strength, a driving style that makes other riders afraid. Someone who is not afraid of Marquez is a madman,” added Gigi.

Furthermore, Gigi thought, Ducati was also worried when he saw Marquez returning to the track. However, recently his party has calmed down because they have a racer whose quality is on par with Marquez, namely Bagnaia.
“Not that I’m saying that Marc doesn’t scare us, but I’m saying that we have a rider who, if he eliminates (faults), can make the difference like Marquez did,” said Gigi.
It is known, on a number of occasions, Marquez often conveyed the possibility of moving from Honda before his contract expired for two more seasons. He admitted that he was disappointed after he never got the motorbike he wanted.
