Dubovská, who entered the Olympic season in 13th place on Saturday in Finland, was in seventh place after the first round. “Sixth place is great and after yesterday I am glad that I was able to improve,” Dubovská said in a recording for the media. She praised the performance in the first round. “The whole ride was great and especially the approach to the plane, which I had problems with before, turned out great. The second round was built completely rhythmically, which I do not like and I can’t do at all, so I’m glad that I gave the performance that “I am very happy about it and I hope I have something to build on,” she added.

Vlhová won the fourth slalom in a row in Levi. She continued two wins from last season this time and, as on Saturday, left Shiffrin and third German Lena Dürr behind. As in the previous race, she led after the first lap and defeated the American by 47 hundredths in the sum of both races.

“I like Levi,” laughed Vlhová, who triumphed at the Finnish center for the fifth time. She won the 22nd race in the World Championships, her fourteenth success in slalom. “But it was very difficult today. I honestly didn’t like the second round, so it was a fight,” she said.

Vlhová now shares first place with Shiffrin in the standings of the SP series, the evaluation of the discipline is 40 points ahead of the American. Dubovská is the ninth place in the slalom, she is thirteenth overall.

For Dubovská, the Finnish resort is a popular destination, two years ago it penetrated the top ten for the first time. In 2019, she finished ninth in Levi and a tenth year later. She placed in the top 10 three times last season, adding to Levi and Jasná she also finished ninth in the slalom in Lenzerheide.

The second Czech national team member in the starting list, Gabriela Capová in Levi, did not advance to the second round. She lost 3.81 seconds on the track and took 51st place. It was 1.79 seconds from the final thirty.
