The department launched the “Al-Furjan Muezzin” initiative from the standpoint of enhancing the culture of religious awareness in society, especially the family, and drawing a close relationship between the family and the mosque, as the initiative attracts young people from Dubai regions, to choose the best voices to raise the call to prayer, by qualifying and training them to become Al-Furjan muezzins in the Emirate of Dubai. In the future.

Jassim Mohammed Al Khazraji, Director of the Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences, explained that the idea of ​​this initiative revolves around strengthening the Emirati identity and developing the religious faith among our young children.

The competition begins by attracting young children from the areas and neighborhoods of Dubai, from the age of 6 to 16 years, to train the children on performing the call to prayer in the correct way. The implementation is carried out by filming a complete clip of the call to prayer, 20 minutes after the afternoon prayer, in the presence of the guardian, and without using any programs to improve the sound.

He continued: The clip is uploaded to a special email for the competition, then the judging committee chooses one representative from each neighborhood (Freej), then holds a competition that is voted on by the public to choose the best votes (the winner) via social media channels, then announces the winner and chooses (a muezzin).
