“Dubai Women’s” offers mental health awareness programs

The Dubai Women’s Renaissance Society has organized various programs as part of the World Mental Health Day, which will be held this year under the slogan “Mental health and well-being for all is a global priority”, with the aim of spreading the social awareness of the importance of mental health and its impact on the safety of the individual and the dissemination of knowledge of life practices that contribute to the strengthening of mental health and the prevention of its negative effects.

Al-Nahda Center for Consultation and Training implemented a course entitled: “Mental Health of Prisoners” presented by Fayez Al-Ghamdi, clinical psychologist at King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the program “Hold me the life of a child without a family. ”Provide ideas that help to think healthily and positively to overcome obstacles, particularly with the category of foster children in crisis of parenting ignorance, providing them with psychological care and providing them with a stable environment.

A symposium entitled: “Psychological treatment is not a defect” was also presented, hosted by Dr. Jassim Al Marzouqi, consultant psychiatrist at the Al Qassimi hospital, and by Dr. Mahra Al Malik – Consultant psychiatrist at the Emirati Foundation for Health Services The symposium addressed early intervention in the treatment of disease and the impact of family, emotional and occupational problems on disease Psychology and the role of civil society institutions and public interest associations in supporting caring for the mental health of individuals and in realizing the aspirations of the state for the happiness of society.
