Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s wife, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, and under the guidance of Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer – President of the Women’s Renaissance Association in Dubai, And in the presence of Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, and members of the Federal National Council, Sabreen Al Yamahi, Hind Al Alili, Naima Al Mansouri and Aisha Al Mulla , the association celebrated the first traditional female collective marriage yesterday, Monday, at the Dubai World Trade Center, Zabeel Hall, in an initiative organized annually by the association represented by the Al-Nahda Center for Consultation and Training, which emanates from the Zaffa Harir initiative adopted by the centre, and this collective heritage wedding is the first of its kind in the UAE.
The number of participants was “5” married couples. The wedding was graced with displays of joy and happiness shared by the attendees, including the guests and organisers, who took pride in their adherence to the ancient Emirati heritage.
Khawla Al Naboodah, supervisor of the Renaissance Center for Consultation and Training, member of the board of directors of the Association, appreciated the role of supporting institutions and participation in the success of the marriage.
Afra Al-Hay, director of the Al-Nahda Counseling and Training Center, said, “The traditional wedding took place in the manner of collective weddings, where the wedding of the bride and groom takes place according to a set schedule, according to the traditions of the traditional Emirati wedding.
