The Women’s Renaissance Society of Dubai has organized various programs as part of the activities of the World Mental Health Day, held this year with the slogan “Mental health and well-being for all is a global priority”; With the aim of spreading social awareness of the importance of mental health and its impact on the safety of the individual and disseminating knowledge of life practices that contribute to promoting mental health and preventing its negative effects.
Al-Nahda Center for Consultation and Training implemented a course titled “Mental Health of Prisoners” presented by Fayez Al-Ghamdi, clinical psychologist at King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Hold me the life of a child without a family “, addressing human personality patterns and ways of coping with the pressures of life and the problems and circumstances of life we ​​face by presenting ideas Helps to think healthily and positively to overcome obstacles, especially with the category of fostering children in a crisis of parenting ignorance by providing them with psychological assistance and providing a stable environment.
A symposium entitled “Psychological treatment is not a defect” was also presented, which hosted Dr. Jassim Al Marzouqi, consultant psychiatrist at Al Qassimi hospital, and Dr. Mahra Al Malik – consultant psychiatrist at the Emirates Foundation for Health Services. The symposium dealt with early intervention in the treatment of illnesses and the impact of family, emotional and occupational problems on illness Psychology and the role of civil society institutions and public interest associations in supporting the mental health care of individuals and in achieving the aspirations of the state for the happiness of the community.
