The new law is part of a leadership vision to build a comprehensive paperless government framework and make Dubai a fully-fledged smart city. Employees or customers of the authorities are not required to print papers after 2021. The Dubai Paperless Strategy aims to eliminate the one billion paper transactions per year in government transactions.
