The fate of the princess worried the UN, after allegations that she was being held by force
Alleged photos of the daughter of the Emir of Dubai, Princess Latifa, appeared on social networks, announcing some time ago that she was kept imprisoned against her will. They show her in two of the largest shopping malls in Dubai, the Associated Press reported.

The photos were published by a woman recognized in the British media as a former serviceman of the Royal Navy. In them, Princess Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum is at the cinema in the Mall of the Emirates and in a restaurant in the Dubai Mall, which is located near the tallest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa. Judging by the movie commercials, the photos were probably taken in May.
They were uploaded this week to two public Instagram accounts, the BBC notes.

Dubai has assured that Princess Latifa is being cared for
In one of the photos, the princess is in the company of two other women. Friends of Latifa, who has not been seen in public for months, told the BBC that they recognized both women who knew her. The British media could not verify the authenticity of the photo, but a friend of Latifa confirmed that it was her.

The 35-year-old princess tried to leave Dubai in 2018, but was detained by commandos in a boat off the coast of India. In videos released by the BBC in February, Latifa claimed she was being held in a villa “turned into a prison”. She says she does not know when and under what conditions I will be released and worries about her safety and life every day. The fate of the princess worried UN experts and human rights activists and they demanded evidence that the daughter of the emir of Dubai is alive.
