Dubai: The luxury watch worth 2.5 lakh dirhams (roughly more than Rs. 50 lakhs) that fell into the sea during a pleasure boat trip was found within half an hour by the Dubai Police. The incident occurred while enjoying a boat trip at Palm Jumeirah with friends from UK When the friend who came from the sea swam back to the ship, he realized that the watch was lost in the deep sea. At first it was thought that it was unlikely to recover the watch due to the depth of the area. However, Almeri contacted the Dubai Police and explained the incident. Immediately, a team of police divers reached the spot and started searching for the watch. To the surprise of the pleasure boat’s passengers, the divers made it back to the ship with the watch in just 30 minutes. Boat passengers appreciated and thanked the Dubai Police for their quick response.
This is not the first time that the Dubai Police has recovered valuables lost by visitors and residents. In 2021, it was recovered when a visitor’s valuables were lost at the Hatta Dam. Dubai Police also assisted a man who lost his ID, credit cards, mobile phones and vehicle keys while kayaking.
