Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Dubai Police announced, on Wednesday, the arrest of a number of people holding Israeli citizenship, after an attack that resulted in the death of an Israeli citizen.
Dubai Police said, in a tweet on Twitter: “The Dubai Police General Command announces the arrest of a number of people of Israeli nationality, after they assaulted and caused the death of a citizen of the same nationality.”
Dubai Police referred the accused to the Public Prosecution.
At a time when Israeli press reports stated that the dead man was stabbed to death, and that the Israeli consul in Dubai and the Department of Affairs for Israelis Abroad in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs were informed.
