Dubai Media Gears Up for Immersive Coverage of UAE’s 53rd National Day
Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) is preparing a comprehensive multimedia experience to celebrate the United Arab Emirates’ 53rd National Day. Starting December 2nd, DMI will deploy a network of correspondents, reporters, and technical experts across the UAE to showcase the nation’s pride, achievement, and vision for the future.
"Union Day represents a cherished occasion, embodying feelings of pride in the establishment of our state and the remarkable journey of the Union, full of accomplishments," said Salem Balyouha, Executive Director of the Content Department at DMI. "This day is a testament to the vision of our founding fathers and the wise leadership that continues to build on their legacy. Through innovative technology and artistic expertise, we aim to deliver media coverage that matches the stature of this historic event."
DMI’s coverage will encompass a nationwide live broadcast plan spanning 10 hours. Starting at 10 am from Abu Dhabi News Center, viewers will be treated to the military parade, followed by the National Service Studio’s detailed broadcasting at noon. Coverage will then shift to Dubai Media Studio for Union Day celebrations, and further to Sharjah TV at 2 pm before returning to Abu Dhabi at 4 pm for the official ceremony in Al Ain.
The coverage will be accessible across DMI channels – Dubai TV, Sama Dubai Channel, Dubai Radio, Noor Dubai Radio and Channel – alongside all local TV channels, the official Union Day website, and social media platforms.
Adding depth to the coverage, special programs will explore the UAE’s global standing through interviews with foreign ambassadors. Additionally, inspiring stories of Emirati citizens who have excelled internationally will be featured. Renowned figures and officials will share their perspectives on the
Union’s impact on society, enriching the narrative.
Dubai TV will also broadcast the “We Sing for the Emirates” concert, hosted by DMI in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail at Dubai Festival City Mall. This musical celebration will feature beloved artists Aryam and Faisal Al Jassim.
Complementing the televised coverage, DMI will actively engage with social media, highlighting public interactions and celebrations surrounding National Day. The campaign "Zayed and Rashid," launched by Brand Dubai in partnership with several government and private organizations, will also be covered.
Sama Dubai will present special episodes of programs like "First Destination," "Tharwat Watan," "Cultural District," and "Sama Avenue," alongside patriotic songs and the documentary "Mohammed bin Zayed," shedding light on the life of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dubai Radio will participate in the live broadcast and feature innovative breaks commemorating the occasion, while Noor Dubai Radio and Channel will dedicate special programs and innovative breaks to the celebration.
