Dubai, September 12 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Musahar, approved the calendar of sporting events for the new season 2023-2024, which includes a group of diverse activities and races that keep pace with the club’s updated strategic objectives for 2021-2027. The Board of Directors decided to adopt September 23 as the date for the start of marine activity and the launch of marine races in the new season. In its meeting, the Council discussed the reports of the club’s Sports Committee and its visions for the new season, which includes many diverse marine sports events and races. The season’s races begin with the first rounds of the 22-foot Dubai Local Sailing Boat Championship, which brings together the youth and junior categories, on the 23rd of this month, and the races continue until next April, the closing date of the activities with the 33rd edition of the Al-Gaffal long-distance race dedicated to local 60-foot sailing vessels, which starts from Sir Bu Nair Island.
