Dubai Financial Market Hits Record 700 Billion Dirhams in Market Cap

The capitalization of the Dubai Financial Market touched the barrier of 700 billion dirhams at the end of today’s trading, supported by gains in banking sector shares.

The market capitalization of shares listed in Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the close of today’s transactions amounted to about 3.656 trillion dirhams, distributed by 2.959 trillion dirhams for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market and 697.3 billion dirhams for shares listed on the Dubai Financial Market.

Local stocks attracted liquidity of more than 1.36 billion dirhams, distributed by 1.05 billion dirhams in the Abu Dhabi market and 312.3 million dirhams in the Dubai market, and about 344.8 million shares were traded through the implementation of 20.8 thousand transactions.

The Dubai General Market Index closed up by 0.24%, or the equivalent of 10 points, to close at 4087.35 points, while the Abu Dhabi Market Index “Fadex 15” reached the level of 9425.11 points, and the FTSE Abu Dhabi General Market Index “Fadji” closed at the level of 9650.1 points.

International Holding” topped the list of the most active in the Abu Dhabi market with liquidity of 221.05 million dirhams, followed by “Alpha Dhabi” attracting more than 91.6 million dirhams, then “Ras Al Khaimah Properties” attracting trades worth 82.2 million dirhams.

In the Dubai market, “Emaar Properties” accounted for the largest share of trading, with a liquidity of 88.4 million dirhams, followed by “Emirates NBD”, attracting about 64.9 million dirhams, then “Gulf Navigation” with trades worth 22.5 million dirhams.
