Dubai ∙ Dubai is the city of choice for Indian investors. In the first 6 months of this year, 30,146 companies were newly registered, while 6,717 (22.3%) companies were owned by Indians. The growth rate of Indian companies is 39%. With this, the number of Indian companies in Dubai has increased to 90,118. UAE ranks second in the number of new companies and Pakistan ranks third.
100% ownership in select locations inside and outside the free zone, ease of obtaining licenses and visas, support for innovative ventures including start-ups, trade security and a business-friendly environment are the main factors that attract Indians to Dubai. The India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has also led to an influx of traders.
