Dubai, September 22 / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai honored the winners of the Excellence Award in its 18th session, during a ceremony held yesterday at the Department’s theater in Dubai.
His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General, honored the winners of the award categories in the presence of executive directors and department directors, in addition to representatives of charitable and Islamic institutions and licensed Holy Quran memorization centers in the emirate.
During the opening speech, His Excellency Al Shaibani stressed that excellence is Dubai’s approach, established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and that the department is committed to implementing and spreading excellence and competitiveness not only through its organizational units, but also through charitable and Islamic institutions. He congratulated all the winners and expressed his thanks to the organizers and organizers of the award over the past 18 years, pointing out that excellence remains a distinguishing mark and a clear imprint, and we all in the Dubai government work to make society happy and are keen to innovate services that exceed customers’ expectations.
The honor included the “Beit Al Khair Association,” which won first place in the category of the leading charitable institution, and the Riyad Al-Saliheen Islamic Center, which won first place equally with the Al-Salam Islamic Center in the category of the leading Islamic institution, and the “Al-Bir Project for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an,” which won first place in the category of the leading Islamic center. .
In the category of the leading organizational unit in the department for the year 2023, the Research Department won from the Islamic Affairs Sector, and the “Mosque Operations Center Project” in the Mosque Affairs Sector won first place, shared equally with the “Sustainable Knowledge Project” in the Islamic Affairs Sector in the Best Initiative or Project category. Innovative, and in the Best Innovative Partnership category, “Ramadan District – Expo Dubai” won first place, shared equally with “Beyti Initiative” in the charitable work sector.
