The Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has concluded a memorandum of understanding with Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government agency dedicated to trade and innovation, which is the largest venture capital institution in Europe in terms of the number of deals, with the aim of establishing a strategic partnership that enhances Business opportunities, expansion and joint cooperation between Dubai and Irish companies, with a focus on the digital sector.
The Chamber stated, in a statement, that the memorandum was signed yesterday, at the headquarters of the Dubai Chambers, in the presence of the Minister of State for the Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Work Applications, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy, Omar Sultan Al Olama, and the Director General of the Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, and Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy. While the signing from Ireland was witnessed by the Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital Transformation and Corporate Regulation, Dara Calleary, the Irish Ambassador to the country, Alison Milton, and the CEO of Enterprise Ireland, Leo Clancy.
The strategic memorandum of understanding between the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy and Enterprise Ireland aims to link companies operating in Dubai with Irish companies, in order to enhance cooperation and partnerships between the two sides, and provide rewarding opportunities for Enterprise Ireland’s clients, especially in the fields of technology, manufacturing, and clean energy. In addition to the environmental, social and governance practices sector, as well as strengthening business, trade and investment relations between Ireland and Dubai, and stimulating economic and trade ties, which helps Irish companies to expand in the region’s markets. Under the memorandum of understanding, work will be done to build promising business opportunities for small companies in Dubai and Ireland, with a focus on the digital technologies sector, while providing the opportunity for small Irish companies to learn about export opportunities to Dubai, in conjunction with introducing small companies from Dubai to export opportunities to Ireland.
