Traffic control
The Dubai Intelligent Traffic Systems Center in Al Barsha is one of the most modern traffic control centers in the world in terms of the use of intelligent technologies and is a key pillar in the traffic safety strategy and traffic management in the emirate’s road network . It is also an integrated technical and digital platform in which advanced technologies are employed, such as artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things, as well as the availability of the latest communication systems that connect all intersections controlled by light signals to the center.
The center has helped increase the coverage of the road network with intelligent traffic systems from 11% to 60% and climb to 100% in 2023, reducing fatal accidents by 42% and reducing delay times at intersections by 25%.
