“Despite the extremely difficult conditions with the availability and record prices for energy resources on the world markets, today we are meeting the second ship with coal from the USA. a resource in order to ensure the stability of the energy system, light and heat in the homes of Ukrainians in these difficult conditions, especially during the heating season, ”said DTEK Energo.
The company also expects three more Panamax-class vessels with coal chartered for the needs of its own generation to arrive in Ukraine in December. The total volume of supplies agreed for November-January is almost 470 thousand tons.
DTEK Energo also noted that today the total volume of gas coal already contracted by the company from Poland, the USA and Kazakhstan amounted to over 0.9 million tons. Negotiations on additional volumes of fuel are ongoing.
We remind you that on the eve of 60.5 thousand tons of fuel from the first Panamax-class vessel, brought by DTEK for the needs of the state-owned generating company Centrenergo, were loaded into wagons and sent to the Uglegorskaya, Zmievskaya and Tripolskaya TPPs. They should help stabilize the situation with a shortage of coal at state-owned thermal power plants.
