DSOGaming’s Review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Graphics, Optimization, and Gameplay

Journalists from DSOGaming continue to test new video game products. This time their long arms reached for the shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. For tests, the publication used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor, 32 GB DDR5 with a frequency of 6000 MHz, as well as Radeon RX580, RX Vega 64, RX 6900XT, RX 7900XTX, GTX 980Ti, RTX 2080Ti, RTX 3080 and RTX 4090 video cards.

Unlike most recent releases, Modern Warfare 3 boasts good optimization. In Full HD at maximum settings, only the Radeon RX580, GTX 980Ti and RX Vega 64 failed to achieve 60 frames per second, and the latter card was very close. The RTX 2080Ti failed at 2K, while the RX 7900XTX and RTX 4090 coped with 4K.

The publication has no complaints about the shooter’s graphics, but the gameplay itself seemed very boring to journalists:

There are big problems with the campaign in COD: MW3. Most of the missions feel like they were taken from Warzone and look boring and uninteresting. The campaign feels like it’s trying to get you interested in Warzone, like it’s an advertisement. There aren’t many interesting points or significant events that stand out on her maps. The AI also doesn’t seem particularly smart, and overall the game isn’t as fun as it could be.

Story campaign Modern Warfare 3 is already available to all pre-orders. The full release will take place on November 10th.
