DSHS Region 8 Hosting Free COVID Vaccine Clinics at TLU

The Department of State Health Services Region 8 and Texas Lutheran University are hosting free COVID-19 vaccination clinics for ages 12 and up on Friday, July 9, and Friday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Student Activity Center at Jackson Park (824 Fleming Dr. Seguin, TX 78155).

Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines will be available. No insurance or proof of residency is needed, but certain consent forms are required. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome.

¿Who is eligible to receive the vaccine?

The vaccine is available to eligible individuals 12 years of age and older. For ages 12-17, please fill out and sign the attached forms prior to the event to confirm your registration:

These forms can be delivered via email to [email protected] or in person on the day of the event.

No You are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine if:

  • You are under 12 years old
  • You have symptoms of COVID-19 illness on the day of the clinic
  • You were diagnosed with COVID-19 disease within 10 days of this vaccination clinic
  • You have ever had a severe allergic reaction (for example, anaphylaxis) to a previous dose of COVID-19 vaccine or a component of the COVID-19 vaccine
  • In the past 90 days, you have received passive antibody therapy as part of your COVID-19 treatment.

Will I have to pay for the vaccine?
Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Region 8 does not charge for the COVID-19 vaccine. DSHS will never ask you for your social security number, credit card number, or other financial information. If someone contacts you asking for a payment and claims to be from DSHS Region 8, do not pay them. Report them to the appropriate authorities. Are there any residency requirements?
There is no residency or citizenship requirement to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, and a social security number is not required.

Instructions for your appointment:

  • Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your appointment
  • Bring your vaccination card that you received with your first dose
  • Bring a mask or mask to wear to the clinic.
  • Fill out and bring the attached form. If you do not have access to a printer, these forms will be provided to you on the day of the clinic.
