A truck driver drove in wavy lines over Autobahn 81 in the Main-Tauber district and caused a lot of damage. When the police checked him in a parking lot on Monday, the 53-year-old had more than three parts per thousand alcohol in his blood, according to a breath alcohol test.
According to another road user, he drove between Tauberbischofsheim and Ahorn from right to left across the entire width of the lane and damaged several crash barriers. He is said to have crept along the autobahn at speeds between 25 and 50 kilometers per hour.
As he pulled into a parking lot, he damaged a parked truck and trailer there. There was damage of more than 13,000 euros.
