Drunk teen dies after falling on subway tracks in Manhattan


The incident occurred early this Sunday.

A 24-year-old man in a drunken state lost his life when he fell on the railroad tracks. Subway at a J Line station in Manhattan.

According to the New York Police report, the man could have died from the fall, since no train reached him. The cause of his death will be revealed after an autopsy.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning, around 1:50 am at the Delancey Street-Essex Street station, The New York Post reported.

The young man was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.the NYPD said.

The identity of the man was not revealed by the authorities, pending information to his relatives.

Last April, a similar incident occurred at the Broadway and Dyckman Street subway station in the Inwood neighborhood, when a 30-year-old man fell onto the tracks.

In that case, the drunken man was hit by a Line A train, but managed to survive.
