A 68-year-old Müritzer was not only driving too fast, but also driving with a high alcohol level in his blood. As the Waren police announced on Saturday, the driver caused a traffic accident at Warenshof four days ago, on Tuesday evening. According to the information, the person who caused the accident turned right into Eulenstrasse shortly after 6 p.m. after leaving Schwenziner Strasse. Despite the winter weather, he was probably traveling too fast. As a result, his vehicle skidded and collided with a car parked in front of him. People were not injured. The officials estimated the damage at around 1,500 euros.

During the inspection, the police quickly took the breath alcohol test. It showed that the man must have drunk a lot beforehand. The test gave a value of 2.03 per thousand. The onward journey ended for the man on the spot and the officers also collected his driver’s license once.

Before he can get it back, the man has to answer for a wide variety of offenses: in addition to the suspicion of an administrative offense, there is also a suspicion of a traffic hazard.
