American actress Amy Locane, known for Melrose place, should stay longer in prison. She had been behind bars for three years, but there will be a few more years on top. Locane, 48, was drunk when she killed a woman in 2010.

Amy Locane crashed into a couple’s car on June 27, 2010, as they slowly pulled into a driveway. Helene Seeman, 60, died, her husband was injured. The actress had three times the allowable amount of alcohol in her blood.

According to the judge, she drank too much wine that day at various parties. She thought her then husband would drive her home. But when she left without her but with the kids, Locane decided to get behind the wheel drunk.
“You are still trying to partially blame others without accepting your full responsibility for what happened that day. As a result, the risk of committing another offense remains too great, ”Judge Angela Borkowski ruled.

Locane was previously sentenced to three years in prison. Prosecutors found that sentence to be “excessively lenient.” The judge agreed with them and ruled that the actress should spend eight years behind bars. She will only be able to be released early after four years.
In 1992, Locane played the role of Sandy Harling in the soap’s first season Melrose place. She could also be seen in the movie alongside Johnny Depp Cry-baby (1990).
