The woman said that despite informing Air India’s cabin crew immediately of the incident on Nov. 6, no action was taken. The information surfaced when the passenger filed a complaint with the group chairman Tata N Chandrasekharan describing the shocking experience on the flight.
The incident occurred in the business class of Air India flight AI-102. The flight, which took off from John F Kennedy International Airport at 1 am local time, landed in Delhi and the person who behaved rudely exited the airport. In the complaint, the passenger stated that the authorities were unwilling to take any action against him or stop him.
The passenger said she had a bad experience with other passengers after lunch. The passenger, who was under the influence of alcohol, approached and unzipped his panties exposing his private parts. Then urine was poured over her body. The passenger also claimed that he only walked away from her when another passenger saw him and asked him to stay away.
There was urine on my clothes, shoes and purse. Cabin crew has provided pajamas and slippers. The clerk gave her the seat because she couldn’t sit on the urine-soaked seat. The passenger claimed that staff forced her into the wet seat even though the flight’s first-class seat was vacant. After two hours, the clerk got her place. But soon the employees gave instructions to return to their posts in this place. A urine-stained sheet was spread across the seat. Another seat was given after two hours. Passenger complaint says they sat here until the end of the trip.
He had to spend time in the bathroom while the flight crew cleaned his seat. After standing there for several minutes, a decision was made regarding seating assignments. Authorities have failed to fix the problem on the plane. In the complaint, the passenger claims that the staff did not take any measures to ensure her safety.
Air India said the passenger’s complaint had been forwarded to the police. An internal investigation was conducted. Air India added that it has recommended the government put the passenger on the no-fly list. The General Directorate of Civil Aviation requested a report from the airline.
