A man, alcoholic, shot dead his neighbor on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Saint-Forgeux (Rhône), before warning the gendarmes of his gesture, we learned on Sunday from a judicial source, confirming information from Progress.
For a reason not yet determined by the investigation, but which the regional daily attributes to a “parking dispute”, an altercation broke out between the two men. The victim, aged 32, would have parked in front of the access to the parking space of the other.
A neighborhood dispute that dated from before the homicide
The alleged perpetrator, aged 41, would then have fired, “on his landing and with a collector’s revolver”, on his neighbor, indicates the prosecutor of Villefranche-sur-Saône, Laëtitia Francart, underlining the existence of a “neighborhood dispute” prior to these facts. Transported to the hospital and seriously injured in the abdomen, the 30-year-old died a few hours later.
The suspect was known for traffic offenses, in particular for drunk driving in Cambrai (North) in 2016. The case will be transferred Monday to the criminal center of the Lyon prosecution.
