He ran the 100 meters with one gram of alcohol in his blood, in the middle of the night, to escape the police. A 30-year-old Buguois was arrested on the night of Sunday to Monday after a crazy chase with the police, in which he even swam across the island to try to escape them.
The police patrol first tried to stop the young man because his car was driving too fast on Cours Saint-Georges. But The Buguois is not insured, and what’s more, he is drunkHe decides to flee, but he doesn’t know Périgueux well and quickly finds himself in a dead end in the small streets.
Controlled at 1 gram
The thirty-year-old then decides to flee on foot. He runs down the cobbled streets, the police on his tail, until he finds himself on the quays, stuck between the police and the Isle. Without further ado, he dives into the waterand swim to the other shore.
The police go around the bridge to catch up with him, while reinforcements wait for the fugitive on the other side. He was finally arrested on rue Louis Magnein the Saint-Georges district, soaked to the bone.
After refusing to blow into the breathalyzer the first time, he changes his mind and accepts: he is still almost one gram of alcohol in the blood. And this is not his first refusal to comply with the police. The Buguois has received a summons to court, for next December 10.
