Drunk driving / police stop 58-year-old with 1.02 per thousand

Darmstadt (ots) –

The drive of a 58-year-old from Lützelbach ended on Monday evening (March 7th) in Frankfurter Strasse at the police station and the filing of a traffic offense report. Due to her unsafe and conspicuous driving style, which manifested itself in apparently uncontrolled acceleration and braking as well as wavy lines, the woman had attracted the attention of witnesses around 7 p.m. After it was apparently just luck that the car did not collide with a cyclist and got stuck on a vehicle parked on the side, the observers immediately called the police. The officers stopped the described vehicle on Frankfurter Strasse. During the check, the reason for this driving style was quickly found. Apparently, the 58-year-old, with 1.02 per mille, had strongly attributed to alcohol. The evening ended with that for the arrested at the police station. A complaint was filed there and criminal proceedings were initiated on suspicion of endangering road traffic.
