On Tuesday night, the Lower Austrian police stopped an intoxicated drug driver on the Westautobahn (A1) after he overtook a patrol car at 210 km / h.
The Upper Austrian had overtaken a patrol car from the regional traffic department in the area of the St. Pölten Süd junction. He could be stopped at Pyhra (St. Pölten-Land district). According to the broadcast, an alcohol test showed 1.16 per mille, an examination by a medical officer showed impairment from addictive substances.

The man from the Urfahr-Umgebung district had his driver’s license temporarily removed after the incident at around 1 a.m. on the Vienna lane. He is reported to the responsible district authority because of numerous administrative violations, said the state police department of Lower Austria.
