Berlin (dpa/bb) – A driver in Berlin-Reinickendorf was drunk and drove too fast onto a sidewalk at a road closure. There he almost collided with a 38-year-old woman and her two- and six-year-old children, police said on Sunday. The 49-year-old then steered his car back onto the road on Saturday, drove over a construction site barrier and damaged a lantern. The emergency services finally found him parking his car. A breath alcohol test showed a level of 2.3 per mille.
