A drunk driver killed a man and seriously injured two women. The tragedy took place on the festive March 8 in Byala Slatina. The driver drove at least 40 kilometers from the village where he lives to the town where his wife fled him due to domestic violence. He even had a restraining order not to approach his ex-wife, but he ignored her.
He stormed the street in Byala Slatina at high speed and literally crushed three people – a man who happened to be passing by on the street, who died on the spot, and two women who were walking with him. Witnesses say the man was extremely aggressive.
“The man came, got stronger with his car and literally crushed the three people. He went back and ran over them a second time “, commented Georgi Georgiev – nephew of the deceased.
“He ran over my mother, my father and went to run over the others, but one door and the fence stopped him. Otherwise, he had beaten a dozen more people, “said Ilian Bogdanov, the son of the dead man and the severely injured woman.
The driver has been detained.
