In broad daylight, a drunk driver broke the traffic light and crashed into a crossing.
One person was killed while crossing the street, and several others were injured, but continued to run and stopped after crashing into another vehicle.
Reporter Lee Ye-rin covered the story.

An SUV driving at high speed through a child protection area.
It runs while ignoring the stop sign, and crashes into pedestrians crossing the street at the walking sign.
The impact of the accident was transmitted to the vehicle as it was, but the driver did not stop.
Dangerous acrobatic driving between stopped cars, crashing into traffic lights and sprinting.
Today (27th) around 1:40 pm, this is an accident caused by a drunk driver in his 20s.
[목격자 : “사람들이 소리를 있는 대로 지르고. 119도 오고 구급차도 오고. (주변 병원) 간호사들도 처음에 와서 119 오기 전에 심폐소생술을 했죠.”]
The driver stopped after crashing into another vehicle here, one kilometer away from the scene of the accident.
A woman in her 70s who was seriously injured at the crossing was taken to the hospital, but eventually died.
Two people, including a man in his 50s who was struck together, are also receiving treatment for injuries such as broken ribs.
It is known that the driver’s blood alcohol level was at the level of license revocation and that he was in such a state of intoxication that a police investigation after arrest was impossible.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for the driver on charges of drunk driving and hit-and-run.
