Drunk driver blows seven times too much in Hoofddorp | Inland

The woman was driving on the Van Heuven Goedhartlaan in Hoofddorp around 4 p.m. The car lurched sharply and drove slowly. “This striking driving behavior was reason enough to subject the driver to a check,” the police said. During the check it turned out that the woman had been drinking: she spoke with a double tongue, her breath smelled of alcohol and she showed “strange behavior”, according to the police.

An initial breathalyzer on the street showed that the Hoofddorp woman indeed had too much alcohol, after which she was taken to the station. There, on a more precise test, she blew 1495 Ugl (micrograms per liter), while 220 Ugl is the maximum.

The case will be submitted to the Public Prosecution Service. There are various penalties for driving under the influence, such as a fine up to several years in prison. Drivers can also lose their driver’s license.
