Regensburg.On Wednesday night, the Regensburg-South police inspection caught several drivers with alcohol or drugs in their blood.
Around 10:30 p.m., police officers checked a 31-year-old with his e-scooter in the Jannerstrasse area. A breath alcohol test resulted in a positive result, which led to a blood test being taken from the man. Now the police are investigating on suspicion of a crime of drunken driving.
Just ten minutes later, police officers checked a 31-year-old road user in the area of Bajuwarenstraße. He was on the e-scooter under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. He also had to have blood drawn. The police officers also found that the 32-year-old could not provide insurance for his e-scooter. The man is now awaiting a display of a violation of the Compulsory Insurance Act and a display of a violation of the Road Traffic Act.
Around 0.40 a.m., a 32-year-old, also traveling with an e-scooter, was noticed in Grunewaldstrasse. He drove in wavy lines. Here, too, the breath alcohol test was positive and a blood test followed. He is now facing a drunk driving charge.
