Drummer Steven William Johnson of the American band Alabama Shakes has been arrested for child abuse. That reports the American website Deadline. He has to answer to the judge after Easter.

The musician is charged with premeditated assault. He is said to have beaten a child under the age of eighteen. The drummer is in jail and a bail of $ 21,500 is required for his release.
It is not the first time that Johnson has been arrested for violence. In 2020 he was found guilty of domestic violence. For this, he received a one-year suspended sentence with a probationary period of 24 months.
