Ashton Irwin, drummer of the band 5 Seconds Of Summer, was taken to hospital during a concert on Monday evening, because he suffered from overheating. The Australian band’s performance had to be cut short due to the incident. The band announced on Instagram that Irwin is doing better.
The Houston show had to be cut short when Irwin collapsed and had to be carried off the stage.
At the hospital, he was examined and it turned out that the drummer was overheated. Irwin is now feeling better. He still has to rest and that’s why 5 Seconds Of Summer is also postponing their Tuesday night show.
5 Seconds of Summer scored hits in the Netherlands with the singles Youngblood in Who Do You Love?, a collaboration with The Chainsmokers. In 2015 and 2016 they performed in the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome.
