In a 33-year-old driver, a patrol from the Bayreuth traffic police discovered drug-typical abnormalities on Thursday evening. There was also a strong smell of marijuana in the vehicle. The police officers checked the man at the Sophienberg motorway service station. The young man from Poland was driving his pickup truck on the A9 towards Munich. After the suspicion of previous drug use was confirmed, he was forbidden to continue his journey and a blood sample was taken. When the man was searched, ten grams of marijuana and eight grams of amphetamine were found, which he hid from the police in his pants pocket and underpants. The drugs were seized on the spot. The man was charged with violating the Narcotics Act and driving under the influence of drugs. The onward journey ended in Bayreuth for the time being. pol
