The son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit made headlines after a violent incident in Oslo at the beginning of August. Marius Borg Høiby is said to have physically attacked his girlfriend at the time on August 4th and later vandalized the apartment in which the two were staying.
“I committed bodily harm and destroyed objects in an apartment while high on alcohol and cocaine after an argument,” the 27-year-old admitted in a later interrogation. Now the results of a urine sample that Borg Høiby had to give on the night of the crime have become public.
Cocaine and MDMA – but no alcohol
In addition to cocaine, he also consumed cannabis and ecstasy that night. During the examinations, another, unspecified substance is said to have been detected in the 27-year-old’s body. Contrary to Høiby’s statement, alcohol was not detected in the blood and urine samples, as the Norwegian newspaper VG reports.
The princess’ son’s lawyer described the fact that the results of the urine and blood samples were made public as “highly offensive.” The 27-year-old has been struggling with drug use for a long time and was not informed about the leaked information.
More allegations from ex-girlfriends
In addition to the allegations of violence in the current case, Marius Borg Høiby also has to answer for allegations of violence in past relationships, although the abuse is said to have spanned years. The ex-girlfriend Juliane Snekkestad, with whom Høiby was with from 2018 to 2022, accuses him of mistreating her for around four years. Nora Haukland, with whom the Norwegian royal was in a relationship from 2022 to 2023, has made similar allegations.
